But only the day before, she claimed that she'd be dead,
If you let her be by herself, even for only a minute.
If she doesn't know the rules for this game, how can she hope to win it?

This is for that poor, scared girl, who doesn't know the rules.
Cuz, often as a fool plays a wise man, can a wise man play the fool.
So listen closely, to the rules you're about to hear,
And follow or break them as you wish, as I know you will, my dear.

Rule one is hard to follow, but please try anyways.
Never give up, always keep going, live out all your days. 
Rule number two is simple, and should be easy for you,
be kind to other people, whether or not they're kind to you. 

Rule three takes lots of courage, but I know that you can do it.
Always defend what is right, and I know that you'll pull through it.
Rule Four is also trying, but I beg you to try...
Don't bottle up your feelings, just go ahead and cry.

Rule five is by far the hardest, but you know that it is true,
Always be honest, no matter what happens, that's the best option for you.
Now my friend, I've done what I could, what comes next is your choice.
