Unveiled Emotions

In noon's embrace, we met once more,
At Starbucks, where our souls did soar.
A sip of coffee, a bite to eat,
As trembling hands, our hearts did meet.

'Do you miss me?' your voice inquired,
I uttered 'no' with words uninspired.
Again, you asked, your kiss so bold,
My heart raced, a tale yet untold.

Your skin's warmth, a gentle caress,
Your eyes, a mirror of my distress.
Every fiber yearned for your embrace,
But silence held me in its icy space.

'I see you not,' I falsely claimed,
A lie that shattered, passion untamed.
Each glance I steal, my heart it breaks,
As love's embers burn, no mistake.

Though I must hide my heart's desire,
Your presence sets my soul afire.
In secret, I'll cherish every touch,
A bittersweet agony, too much to clutch.
