I sit here, looking through the window
the rain, it pours heavily
The lightning, thunder, reminds me...
as I scoot closer
ever
so
steadily
I envy the rain
for it may fall
yet as soon as the sky clears
The sun will come out
soon to restart the wondrous cycle
But I'm not mad
Cause in the end of the day
I get to see another rain
Maybe even partake in
this wonderful weather
For it may be,
the rain that wettens your jacket
or bring in a chill, yet-
Truth be told
I don't mind
As long as I can partake
in the smells of the rain
The dew wet grass
and lingering speculation of puddle
So to treason
I like it when it rains
The railroad populated
with a mere approaching train
The quiet bliss that remains
The crisp sun that joins in
in all the splendor
Even the mist here that renders
The occasional child
jumping in a mere puddle
with joyous squealing
Makes this, all the more appealing
All that stands for the rain
To the hopes of making
the raining seasons more revealing
