Biography of Michael J. Nappi

Wayward son and survivor, Michael turned to the pen at just 13 years old. What began as a way to see and arrange troubling thoughts and emotions blossomed into a life long love of words. Circling the sun for sixty plus years, he holds fast to his individuality in a world that drives for conformity. A troubled, bullied child of the 70's, rebellious teen grew up hard and fast. Heartache has been a lifelong follower and inspiration. A natural leader throughout a succession of careers, his life is made of many lives, numerous enough that even a cat would envy him. His experiences and his empathy add insight and depth to his writings. Michael accredits his unique perspective to being born breech: "I entered this world upside so things looked different from day one" quips this poet. His "collection of words" ranges almost 50 years. Within his words we see his unique style develop, evolve and shine.
