My Memory

Sun shining through the heavens to us
Feet stood on the ground, I am one with all
The people I experience and tell many stories of
Through the thunder and clear skies we remember
As the world keeps on spinning, will we?
Temporary I remain in anyone’s relevance
Not forever, nor will I ever again claim
Smile and love what we go through as it occurs
Cry our tears when we may never live again
Breathe and cherish every lasting moment we have
One day, I will not be with you to smile
Not here to laugh, not to cry, not to live
Moments may make you hate every fiber of my being
Whenever the storm called, I was the Sun through the clouds
Not every second, but what you will remember most
For the time I possess is finite and indescribable
I want you to look back and remember me for me
The laughs, smiles, and memories I may have caused
Limited they may be, but for reasons, there is sorrow
Forever is not me and I am certainly not forever
To show you what I could never see in my dream
Through the lack of my life, I give it to them
To let you feel the warmth that I do rarely felt
To tell you my hell all so I could watch you ascend
Here’s to the world that I may never know
Hold it close and know you are more than me
