for about 5 minutes i came to the realißation
that my meagre thinking came to some sort
of fruition -
only a minor revised observation -
foreign language films...
why do the subtitles run down on the screen?
do these people not realiße that
it's much easier to read and look down,
rather than to read and loop up?!
for about five minutes,
in the opening scene of the south korean
film: the fortress...
where some sage is talking to
this poor fisherman...
eventually cutting his head off
with the last question being:
what about the girl, who is to take of her...
during the conversation
a line of chinese subscript credits -
and the subtitles were laid
above...
so the reading and revising
a focus on the actors became
all the more easier / pleasant...
correct me if i'm wrong:
was i ever here to clarify some hidden
meaning in the plot?
no... i'm here to the technical standards
being revised...
if you're going to show a foreign language
movie...
let me catch you running
the subtitles on the screen below
the focus of actors' faces...
no!
it is and will remain so:
so much easier if the subtitles
appear on the top of the screen rather than
hinting upon the cut-off...
hell... put them across the actor's visage...
like some bogus face tattoo:
appearing / disappearing come the next
frivolity of a facial expression...
it is so much easier if you comply
with the chinese tradition of writing in
the: ⠧
⠑
⠗
⠞
⠊
⠉
⠁
⠇ well... if braille "arithmetic"
is anything to go by: reading it from top
to a down is much easier than reading
it from left to right, or from the semitic
right to left...
the best joke i ever heard came
from an egyptian... he used the collective
ethnic association to being a muslim...
sure... an arab is a semite: he moves a lot...
so is a jew...
but an egyptian?!
em... how many camels does it take
to move a mountain / a pyramid?!
an egyptian is an arab is a semite
and i'm the first nun to become mickey
mouse!
heatwave retards...
braille should be read in the way the old
chinese said why man begins with
the head and ends with his feet...
up down...
not left to right...
braille seems to encompass
chinese phinetic encoding...
but sure... you can read braille...
left to right, right to left...
if you begin by translating braille
into morse code...
subtitles though! god damn!
can't they place them on the top of the screen?
how else to deal with a language
with no letters confined to syllables?
chinese, jap etc.?
subtitltes should run above than from below:
it's harder to focus on from below,
than it is to descend from above...
braille satisfies this observation -
and yes, silverchair's debut:
frogstomp clarifies the eager young...
白 (ba-)
色 (-is)
和 (h'eh)
黑 (hē-)
色 (-isè) - grave accent - refers to:
surd... not... the frivolous olé!
ergo? ba-is-h'eh-he-iß; black and white.
best be warned: braille reads better
when it's read from "top" to,
"down"..... like the qing ming ching
dynasties, used to read...
before succumbing to the copernican
left to right... right to left...
up, down...
the fuck is there even e necessity
to mind the seasons beside hte earth's
conundrum -
the clouds at night...
they move east...
from the western hinterlands...
the sun rises from the east...
but the earth's momentum is equated
to its origin story in the west..
subtitles though!
if they only ran on the top of the screen:
to look down that to reclaim the center
from down below:
i would only have to claim a sight of you
⠊ ⠁
⠕
⠺ ⠉ ⠎ ⠋
⠕ ⠕ ⠓ ⠇ ⠊
⠥ ⠝ ⠁ ⠁ ⠛ ⠽
⠇ ⠇ ⠧ ⠞ ⠊ ⠓ ⠕
⠙ ⠽ ⠑ ⠕ ⠍ ⠞ ⠥
(yes, read from head, to toe) -
i will still cry...
i will only cry over matters concerning
beauty...
the misty mountain cold -
the dwarf's humming choir...
till the humming becomes
an intolerable tickle of the eaten throat...
foreign language films?!
the subtitles should be above...
not below:
it's so much easier to read
and appreciate the acting if there's
a cascading impetus!
vaughan williams:
fantasia on a theme by thomas tallis...
vide cor meum...
beauty deserves tears in
the same way that the earth deserves rain...
the last: exhuasting breath
very much akin to the symbolic act
of drowning...
very much akin to reading braille...
it works best:
if it is read from head to toe...
not from sunset to sunrise...
unless of course... you were to revise
braille into
morse code reading;
alternatively:
having succumbed to playing
an acoustic guitar...
and the following schematics:
black sabbath - black sabbath:
e --------------------------
B --------------------------
G --------------------------
D -----------3-------------
A --------------------2---- (trebble upon 3, 2/3, 2/3)
E ---1----------------------
free - all right now
e ---------------------------
B ---------------------------
G -----------7--------------
D ---7------7-------7------
A ---7------5-------7------
E ---5---------------5------- listen to the rhythm...
stairway to heaven my ass...
and the young lass asses pass...
and i am still bound to the riddle
of: da pacem domine...
as if... i had to exfoliate with
all the necessary solipsistic mindings of
the otherwise: proverbial quest of
the gratifyingly simple.... given.
