America

America, America, a land so free, Welcome strangers from across the seas
Some came by boat, some by plane, and being here is no disdain
Such beauty by day, a jewel by night, like a huge treasure and a wonderful sight, a splendor to see, whilst in the air
Hooray New York! Hooray, we are here.
America, America thou carest so much
For the weak and the weary who need your touch
The oppressed cry and you hear their sighs, far away in foreign lands
Off you go and doing your best, no power is greater.....what a conquest!
Fresh courage they take while you are there
A mother to Nations, and we know you care.
Some say you are great, some in dismay
America, will you stop.....for what they say?
Islands, countries are strengthened each day
For America is love in every way, always ready to help,
always quite dear, to bring comfort to countries everywhere
They greatly rejoice because of thee, a nation blessed, as we can see
So strongly knitted, with even an Empire
A country to behold and with great desires.
