The Servant

Jorge Mario Bergoglio, born in Buenos Aires,
walked among the people before he ever wore white.
He worked in science, studied theology,
rode buses, cleaned floors, and spoke with the quiet.

From Argentina's crowded streets,
he rose not on ambition, but humility.
A Jesuit by calling,
he chose the margins over the center.

His hands, shaped by labor and liturgy,
reached out to the forgotten.
In the slums and prisons,
he saw the face of Christ.

When the white smoke rose,
the world received Francis,
a name chosen not for power,
but for peace,poverty,and care.

He speaks of mercy
as if it were bread.
He warns of idols,
even when they wear gold and tradition

He washed the feet of prisoners,
embraced the disfigured,
and called the world
to care for its common home.

Not without critics,
not above contradiction,
he remains a shepherd
walking ahead,sometimes behind,
often among.

And still,each morning,
he prays for a Church that listens,
for a world that remembers
its most fragile truths.
