Image Of A Man

I've pondered oft the makeup of this one...
Swept free of mortal bonds and ev'ry ill;
To me, his emanation has become
More flawless than an artist could fulfill.
He flaunts not hulk, nor strength, as Hercules;
I see no shoulders of an Atlas here...
His innate power, more intense than these
Is stature, in dynamic atmosphere.
Today, he moves, dear vision that I feel...
An aura in my room, like clinging myrrh;
No longer warm and breathing, yet so real
His presence holds me rapt; my senses stir...
If God, at times, surveys His Master Plan,
He must approve this image of a man.
