From the lap of a lush mountain shinning
Runs a small river downstream flowing
Like a child happily running chattering
Always hopping and popping
A straight path she hates following
Each pebble touched goes meandering
Weaves her way thru flower heads dancing
A secret tale she seems to be sharing
Of a land left behind that was loving caring
Bids a final goodbye at the last big curving
There can be no going back gushes gurgling
Her sweetness lost at the point of meeting
The ocean it's saltiness all enveloping
To become one with the mighty ocean
She easily merrily gives up her own being
The coconut trees by the banks tall standing
Share the tales of her journey with the skies
Perhaps a loving message delivering
To the mountain sides left behind waiting
