On a hill stands a cathedral
Where we may pray in our own way,
Its outdoor chapels pledged to God.
The peaceful valley just below
Is ablaze with autumn's brilliance
Crimson, scarlet, copper and gold.
As the wind rustles through the pines,
We marvel at nature's wonders.
This tribute to a young pilot
And to all others, through the years,
Who gave their lives to keep us free,
Expresses gratitude with love.
The altar wrought of precious stones
From far and near marks unity.
As the wind rustles through the pines,
We pause to remember with prayers.
Our beloved land, amply blessed
By our Creator Who endowed us
With mental gifts and compassion,
Has no room for hate or vengeance,
For law and order reign supreme,
And every life is most precious,
As the wind rustles through the pines,
We vow to be ever vigilant.
