Doppelganer

I took off the bracelet you gave me that night, but i can't find another one that matches the tan line. My skin doesn't fit me the way yours does. You talk to me in riddles so your honesty won't be misread, and i read the words not written, because they were my words first. My thoughts are on display and you can have them all. Our hearts are so transparent, but only because we know just how to look. There's fifty pens that are just like me, but my soul is too fragile to send. So where's that smile you promised me? You haven't called in weeks. Are you pacing the road most traveled, and wearing reflectors at night? Are you trying to get lost in familiarity, where routine days slowly turn you into another mindless zombie? Well, i won't make it easy on you and let you fade away.
