Legend Of The White Rose

Gather 'round, all my children.
Hear how the story goes.
I'll tell of things unspoken and
The legend of the pure white rose. Surrounded are we by angels
Who circle with the wind
Protecting all who dwell here
Until we're one with them. Never treading on this soil.
No footprints can be found
Save for one occasion
They say one touched the ground. A little cherub fell from place
Broken wing tangled in its gown
Caught in flight by a leprechaun but
Not before a tiny foot touched down. And on the spot where an angel had trod
Its mark forever shows.
For in that place, so the legend goes,
Came to bloom the pure white rose.
