A Language Of The Spirit (Improvisation 05 02 2004)

Cotton cloth covers entombed tar babies
kept nurtured by seasons of winter evanesce
pooled from rivers from waterfalls of time
improvised defrosting tension change cooks
a cool cornfield into pones of hot cornbread
fruit untouched lay near to seed in a hole
the ground perks where the ice salt licks of
cattle melts clean through to a sweet meat
omega-three oil a gas surfacing on an ocean
in a whirlpool up ongoing life seed to stem
sea breeze bird lift to fly inland to breathe
from the balloon of the lung of the rain forest
microwaves full of sound and life and rime
on both head and foot end send a wayward
music to the sexual receptor the ligand1 to
rouse finger popping -riffing for hooks
emotion lined with honey delves to the
cathexis2 to perennial beds of spirit love by
the ostinato lead song and dance decompose
into tar babies dissolving to cloud formations
into indifferent definition and exhausts tails
from this man made machine.
