I woke up with the clinking
Of the spoon in my coffee mug
As I stirred in the sweetener
I have been finishing the washing
While my family sleeps
Even my dog is hiding from dawn's light
Because it's the weekend
And no one is in rush for work
Last night, I fell asleep with the monotony
Of the machines echoing their hynotising sounds
It happens every Friday night
Maybe, it's Captain Kirk
With that soothing voice of his
I can't remember
