Desert Night

When the sun goes down
The desert sky opened with a brilliant moonlight
We wanted the stars and satellites caress the darkness
While the campfire burns, we discussed
The possibilies of other life in the universe
We grew sleepy and decided to use our sleeping bags as a bed
So, we can embrace each other for warmth
The southeastern wind turned into a northeastern one
As the night continued
The fire slowly smouldered and the smoke filled our eyes
With some kind of regret
But we slept with visions of the past
And in morning the desert night became day
We got into the truck and drove off to the next town
Looking for a place to eat
