When will stop the hate?
And hold itself in a peaceful embrace
As starving children are being fed
When will we stop the killing the planet?
I hear about it every day
I watch the news and it saddened me every time
I read the paper and I just want to cry
I remember when I was young
What was happening in one country didn't affect here
We would go on with our business
And not have a care in the world
Now, that I am older, it has become spiteful
And everybody insulting each other anonymously
Causing pain for fun
As they tell lies and spread them around the world
With a press of a button
This world is so frightening, let me stay in the basement
Curled up with my dog watching Scooby-Doo
