A mile or two from my happy Malvern home,
Across an old meadow I`ll wander and roam.
An old rickety kissing gate; I venture alone,
Into that ancient forest; two miles from home.
My favourite "two people" are there to greet,
"Flora and Fauna" always a pleasure to meet.
Deeper into the forest; beauty unfolding,
Under natures Umbrella; my breath I`m holding.
From the undergrowth a Muntjac appears,
To my mind, the most beautiful of Deer`s.
A startled glance and his signature bark!
He skips; scurries away back into the dark.
Nature has so many pleasures to give,
It`s all our home; it`s where we all live.
Millions of years in the making---
We should be all giving; not all taking.
