Poetry has always been my way of finding myself again—not something one does every day but, rather, like the rare visit of that old friend. This collection marks my return to self-expression, a journey I began as a child filled with wonder. Life has taken me up and down ever since, and living with major depression and psychosis has at times made me feel very detached from that girl once named me.
