Love, peace, and happiness, was a cry before.
Then we chanted, food and oil we want more.
We all want our young and old to live,
But with these high prices, it is hard to give.
Trying to pay for the winter’s heat,
Is almost impossible, look at the price of meat.
Population control a sensitive subject today and then,
Let’s go to war, it worked way back when.
Climate changes come and go,
One disaster after another around the globe.
Instead today we have a new killer among us,
A virus is here, so what is the fuss?
We find a cure, we vaccinate, no need to hate,
Whether you agree or not, you decide your fate.
With all the sweat, blood and tears we have shed,
Has any of this helped us to get ahead?
