Shadows who swaddle moonlit lovers,
Draws the night air, together at last,
Forever at last.
Arteries pulsate, now numb,
The pale skin, wrapped in night,
In bloom says the clock,
But I never turned the page.
Twist and curdle the milky light,
To creep the streets,
Waiting for devouring hour,
Blue to red, I sink my talons.
Seething the air, drowns down,
Vocal chords duress, grasping for breath,
Still hoping to clasp to the tip of a finger.
Lips curl and eyes narrow,
Twirling the dance of the devil knight,
A ghost hides in the throat, says shards once whole,
Where dawn lives out beneath the ground,
Give me death, give you life, I sing to the victims of my night.
