What a horrifying realization
A snapshot burned into my memory
A bloody hand
And a grief too terrible to name
The horrible red color covering my vision
Legs shaking, As I stumble to my feet
Blood dripping onto the cool tile
Nausea rising like a tidal wave
Before it crashes, hard
As I lose all sembalance of composure
Tears streaming down my face
As a small life left this world
I hear a voice echo in my ear
“Welcome to being a woman”
