Peaceful Reflections Along The Mississippi

The little, pale green butterflies,
of morning, bid us goodbye.
Pulsating fireflies brighten the
darkened areas like twinkling
stars on high. To dip below the horizon
the waning sun doth try.
A painter's creation of orange
and purples fill the sky. In the still of the evening,
the gentle breezes blow.
The calliope's tune relaxes
with a song we all know. The whiff of our neighbor's
magnolia, fill the cool air.
The memory will last forever,
none other can compare.
