LIKE THIS POEM
Ye hills that sloping westward, see
Alone the evening sky,
I come to you for sympathy.
'Alas!' they made reply,
'Your tears are for the morning bright
That never here hath been.
We lie in shadow when the light
Upon her face is seen.'
