A squirrel, while he sprang from tree to tree,
Cried to a skunk below, 'Pray, look at me:
There's no such grace nor such agility
As mine, I tell you!'
'Nay, friend,' the simple creature made reply,
'Thy gifts, forsooth, no mortal may deny;
But pray remember 'tis my boast that I
