Tribute Poem: Pee Wee Herman

Pee Wee Herman is a friend of mine...
We ride bicycles on our way to dine...
We slowdown when we see a sign that reads...
“Good morning, Mr. Breakfast.”

Pee Wee Herman is a quirky fellow...
His bike is red, but he wanted yellow...
When I ask if he was born in December...
Pee Wee yelled “I can’t remember!”

Pee Wee has known me for many years...
He’s afraid of spiders, but it’s snake he most fears...
And once we found an old dog bone...
Pee Wee yelled “Au revoir, Simone!”

Sometimes Pee Wee likes to lie...
He claimed a bee stung him, but it was only a fly...
I called him a baby when he started to cry...
Then he screamed “I know you are but what am I… infinity!”

But he’s still my friend and I want to say...
He’s really funny and we always play...
When we’re finished our fun and go a separate way...
Pee Wee hollers “Have a nice day!”
