It all started back in 1915...
When a great grandmother named Angelina Napoli Cortese...
Made her candy for family and friends...
“The best in the world” is what everyone says...

Her son, Sam, was a 12 year old child...
A businessman at a very young age...
He started selling his momma’s candy...
Working hard to make an honest wage...

Her candy was selling so fast
And Sam needed to meet the demand...
He soon employed a buggy and Aida...
Making the candy inside by hand...

Soon all the children were yelling...
“Momma, it’s the Roman Candy man...”
Buying chocolate, vanilla and strawberry...
Sam was making it as fast as he can...

Selling for a nickel a stick until 1970...
It became everyone’s treasured delight...
Even after more than a century...
It remains the dessert choice each and every night...

So when your kids start yelling for Roman Candy...
And the doggies begin to bark...
The vote is unanimous for Roman Candy...
