Sunsets to me

I always find myself at the day's end
Light fading upon the golden horizon
The glaring bit of sun blinding into me
Agitating the confines of my person
Beckoning my heart to sink in darkness
I am already weary from the season
Finding no comfort in used up novelty
A muteness drenches the empty scenery
Shadows lengthen coolly and I despair
Finding myself wholly without succour
The sun slips cruelly out of my view
Decimating my heart to utter forebode
The world is now drowned in blackness
Calling to the cycle which repeats forever
With my solitary figure on that horizon
