T. S. Elliott, in his poem “East Coker” said that:
“Old men ought to be explorers
Here and there does not matter
We must be still and still moving
Into another intensity”
I am officially an old man, who has “dabbled” in poetry since my youth. I want the rest of my life to resonate with Elliott’s words, “Old men ought to be explorers.” I want the next chapter of living to be about “moving into another intensity” of exploring life itself as I express my exploration through poetry.
