Ode To Trouble

1.

Before tea I play Mozart on the violin
After, I walk my estate
Platonic friends I think of you often
when ascending the meaningless stairs and hitched portico
and my faithful slave hums death
to greet the worthy city
beneath the mink and ermine, the solipsist wedding
Veiled empire my calculus is bad
I wrote a gloss on days
gulched heap or mound
as still as sleep
The arsenic pitched in
You're outside the zone of observance
neither science
Correct hard-hearted friends
He wants to be like the sermon on the
and not a newsreader, carrying truth's water-pistol

2.

"I felt that I was getting somewhere with my work
hardening like wax and holding me
but priorities change. I rub his wordless back
I mean we're carbon"
and wake up on the nightmare's edge and spruce
as roaring day and phoneless night distribute your effects
but only work sings any kind
its pontoon of remembrance, I get across
