Consolation.

When all doors seem to be closed
And all roads lead to nowhere,
When questions fall on deaf ears
And answers are not being found
When your good deeds extended lovingly
Have been forgotten,
And you are being dealt with
Slanderously,
When no helping hand reaches out
While you are drowning in despair,
What sense is there in holding on
To mere existence?
But out of grief and tragedy
Is born a better understanding.
Let all the world forsake me,
I reach for strength within myself
And know why Christ was crucified:
Misunderstood - by thoughtless crowds!
It gives me consolation.
