You Descended

Stars illumine the day-to-night, night-to-day transition.
Lighting up nooks of land and the skies as part of mission.
To console the cores of the barren hearts of humans
Mary consented to bring you forth the prism of grace fusions.

As foretold from the fathomless depths of serene sages
As sung by quills of ages, you would rewrite history's pages.
In the tiny town of Bethlehem, you would start your life.
Between good and evil, shouldn't you end the endless strife?

Like the warm wombs of the sunbeam in cold winter nature
You pitched your tent among us as our merciful neighbour.
As the one who's present everywhere and omnipotent
You shed your light like a thousand suns, bright and immanent.

Nature stood astounded as a mild, meek mist when you descended.
Faint clocks of fond memories, O Jesus, stood suspended.
