If I died tonight would any of you care?
Would you bat an eye or shed a single tear?
Would you regret the cruel comments and the constant glare?
If I died tonight would any of you notice I wasn’t here?
Would you be satisfied to see my cold pale body in a coffin with a lost stare?
Would your lives without me seem empty and bare?
If I died tonight would the way I am remembered is through hateful words?
Would you look back on my face and finally see all the hurt and wear?
Would people still move and follow one another like herds?
If I died tonight would you see it as joyful or a tragic scare?
Would I disappearing make your lives perfect and right?
Would all of you pushing me to take my like to you seem fair?
If I died tonight would you be glad I gave up the struggle and fight?
Would never seeing me make you all free like a wild mare?
Would you smile if I walked away from the light of life and into the night?
If I died tonight would any of you care?
