When Twilight Falls

When twilight falls upon our town
Then lights go on all around
Children on their skates at play
Hate for children to come their way.
Mothers begin to call them home
Knowing someday they will roam
But for today they are in our hands
We must mold them our little lambs
When they grow up and travel around
They will be prepared for things abound.

As twilight falls then they will know
Their home is the safest place to go
With Mother and Daddy standing by
Ready to love them if they cry
When twilight falls upon the land
We reach out with a helping hand
To those who are lost and forlorn
Who need a friend to guide them on
So - let your light shine upon all
To keep them safe - "When Twilight Falls."
