God created man
And he gave to him a mind.
Then he gave him freedom,
His place on earth to find.
He gave him hands to do his will,
And with which to walk,
He gave him ears to hear his voice
And lips with which to talk.
He gave him eyes that he might see
The beauty that he had created,
And then he watched with horror
As his world was devastated.
For he has also given man a choice
And when the time came to choose,
Man was only human
And God's gifts he did abuse.
Forgetting all God's goodness
There were cravings in his heart,
And by his self-indulgence
He tore God's world apart.
