Long time since

It’s been a long time brother since you went away
It’s been a long time sister since you went away
It’s been a long time mother since you went away
It’s been a long time father since you went away
But I know one day I’ll see you again

Sometimes I cry thinking about us
Other people couldn’t imagine loosing you
But that empty space in my heart has me thinking
Of you. So when I get weary I think about when you went away
And god has a plan for us all but I’ll never forget you on land.
Room to room I try to find peace but I can’t
Block to block I walk but I can’t
I try to search inside but I find guilt
I charm myself with gifts but nothing remains
And all I want is you and all I want is you there
And I know when we meet I’ll be ready to take my place.
